A couple weeks ago on a Sunday the Cleveland Browns had a food drive at the Cleveland Aquarium
With George snug at the house, our granddaughter Marissa and I googled the directions and off we went. It is has been a long time since I have been in Cleveland and never in the Flats. Luckily it was a Sunday and traffic was light as I listened to left turn here, right turn there in a very old use to be industrial area. Then BAM we were there! The building was not what I was expecting but a fantastic renovation of the “historic FirstEnergy Powerhouse on the West Bank of the Flats, just a short walk from Shooters on the Water, the Nautica Queen, Jacobs Pavilion at Nautica”. I can only imagine how busy this area is in the summer.
They have very cleverly incorporated the tanks into the brick areas of this very old building. Marissa and I enjoyed lunch in their cafe before we ventured into the tunnels of the aquarium.
Upon leaving we decided to drive down St Rt 3 from it’s beginning in Cleveland back to Loudonville. I explained to her about the 3 C highway. The 2nd longest state route in Ohio venturing into all 3 major cities of Ohio – Cleveland, Columbus, Cincinnati. Marissa and I decided we were going to have to drive from Columbus to Cincinnati sometime on St Rt 3 so we can say we have driven all of the 3 C highway!
A very nice enjoyable afternoon! Enjoy the pictures! (Marissa is a budding photographer she took WAY more then me)
